    felted gnome

I really do have a great excuse for being slow with blog posts. It’s THIS craft room! My craft room calls to me! I head down here around 9am and stay till 3!! Maybe if I moved my desk closer to the stairs and not on the other side of the craft table I wouldn’t get distracted with the shiny, shiny, sooooo shiny projects!! Here is what I’m working on now. Last week I actually had company to craft with me!! My friend Marilee and her daughter and grandgirls were here designing t-shirts!! The vinyls were sooooooo cool!!! Everyone’s was so different and so pretty! My vinyls of course were for Alice. (Duh!) Then the knitting. SO ADDICTED!! Get this, now granted I do use a very chunky yarn for my blankets and only one stitch. But I’m still taking credit for being creative!) I’ve completed 2 blankets. His and hers for The Husband and I. 4 cowls. 3 for me and 1 for The Husband. 2 long scarfs for me. They are so long they twist around my neck TWICE!! So warm!! I am a selfish knitter! HOWEVER!! I have started 2 new blankets for other people for gifts.…

So ya know we will be talking trash about him for 1364.2 miles. AND a big shout out to The Husband HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! While I’m gone, do not make a mess in my kitchen. Face-time me so I can see the dog! (I MEAN your smiling face!) STAY OUT of my Craft room!! And Happy Birthday! I love you. I’m hoping to update with pictures or at least a short post often enough for the giveaway comments. Feel free to keep commenting on the same post that is on top and count it as a new post. • Cricut Helps Wrap Up Summer Fun!!

I'm never bored Cutting vinyl for mailbox

Six-year-old Alice and her BFF Ashley have one final week of summer fun before school starts and Ashley heads back up north to school. So, what better way to end the summer than a trip to LEGOLAND California in MATCHING T-shirts?!!Not just matching T-shirts, but ones that Ashley actually drew herself. Taking the picture that Ashley drew for Alice and scanning it into the computer I created the iron on’s for their matching T-shirts. How adorable is this design?!?!  Alice had it tacked up on her wall for the longest time before it hit me, I could actually make the girls t-shirts from this drawing! So, y’all know that I feel the need to share my creative side when I am especially pleased with myself and this is one of those times!! After scanning the picture you upload to Cricut Design Space there are 3 options once you upload your picture to help you clean up the picture. Remove area’s that you don’t want to show Once I was pleased with the image clean up I moved it to my virtual mat. I sized the design how I wanted it. Load your mat with the color vinyl you want.  Position…

  • Cricut Accessories ROCK!!

Little girl in Alice in Wonderland tshirt

If you have spent anytime at all here on Peanut Butter and Whine you know I have a love affair going with my Cricut Machine. I buy vinyl every chance I get! I want every new color that comes out. I want sparkle, glitter to matte vinyl sheets. I want them ALL!! If I’m not writing blog posts I’m scouring Pinterest for t-shirt, mugs and hat ideas. Seriously! My Circuit Pinterest board goes on and on!! Alice is forever asking for a certain t-shirt. From last day of Kindergarten to Birthday Girl. Even Disneyland T-shirts! Sometimes she just wants a design. For no reason. I love my machine so much that traveling with my Cricut makes me nervous!! What if it got dinged? Bumped? Dropped? Gives me shudders! Cricut knows that we crafters worry about our babies. They designed a storage bag that looks more like high priced luggage than a Cricut tote! Check out the New bags and totes at Cricut Check out the padding in the case! There is a hollowed out area under the machine that holds the cords. BRILLIANT design!! The side pockets hold my essentials like tweezers, scissors and scraper. The top is magnetic so when…
