Give Away!! Interactive iPad book Elfishki & The Unwelcome Guest Review
Ever since I won my iPad3, from OvationTV, Baby Alice is convinced that she actually WON the iPad. It may be a teeeny tiny bit my fault because I keep finding great apps to download for her. Elfishki and the Unwelcome Guest is a great example!! I was lucky enough to review Elfishki and the Giant Cake back in February of 2012, Emma and Eli still love that app!! I still get ‘cakes’ emailed to me just about every week!! Elfishki apps continue to be fun, the kids don’t get tired of the story or the interactive screens. The Unwelcome Guest is no different! Alice loves the bright colorful illustrations. The Unwelcome Guest, like the other Elfishki Apps has the option of reading the story yourself or have it read to you. The narrator, Jason Damron, of The Unwelcome Guest has a lot of expression in his voice which he changes for each character. Jason makes the story very entertaining. The app has the story on one page followed by an interactive page of bright colors and fun characters. I love love, love the last page of the Unwelcome Guest, to adorable!! When I was offered a chance to write about Morningside Recovery, I knew I was the right person for the job because, I’ve always said that living in Las Vegas would be SOOOO very, very, VERY bad for me!! Guess Moo! iPad Game Review
FINALLY!!!! There is a true learning app that Alice can play and win!!!!! Ever since I got my iPad I’ve been hunting for an app that Alice (15 months) could play but learn something at the same time. Most of the apps I found were too fast-paced for 15 months. That was until Guess Moo arrived!! This is THE APP!!! Alice and I have been playing Guess Moo for the last 2 weeks.In that short period, Alice can usually guess 5 out of 8 animals correctly. I am astonished at how Alice has taken to this App so fast! At a mere 15 months, she can pick out the animal sound of each of the 12 animals. She’s BRILLIANT!!!!! Seriously, look at that face!! Is she not having fun there??? This has quickly become one of mine and Alice’s favorite apps for the iPad!! I’m in awe at how fast this app has helped Alice with eye hand coordination, sound recognition and visual recognition.
