$50 Your Way Giveaway April 2026

Hello, welcome to my $50 Your Way Giveaway for April 2026. I hope you all had a wonderful March 2026. Mine sucked! The husband’s MS kicked him down BAD in March. Multiple Sclerosis SUCKS!! Then, as many of you already know, we lost our sweet Miss Bear. Our beautiful, sweet, mellow Bernese Mountain Dog. She developed yet another tumor. It was gut-wrenching to let her go, but we couldn’t let her suffer like she was. Then, like an idiot, I decided I needed a puppy. So, if you haven’t met Walter, check here.

So, my March was just bad. I’m very glad it is over. April WILL BE BETTER!!

Now for the real reason you are here.

That’s it.If you win, the email will come from Connie @ peanutbutterandwhine com. “HEY, it’s Connie” or “Guess WHAT?”
Totally legit. Mildly dramatic.

I’d love it if you came back often, hung out a bit, and clicked around. Looking at more than one page really helps me keep this little corner of the internet alive. Extra ad clicks are always appreciated and quietly celebrated.

Clicking on ad’s and purchasing through my blog does NOT cost you extra money. Pinky promise. It just helps keep this giveaway rolling month after month like a happy little cash parade.

I’m also an Amazon affiliate, so any purchases you make starting on my blog kick a few sheckles my way AND, doesn’t cost you anything.

April is pretty much done. May has got to be better, lol. We are back to chilly weather, but May has got to be warmer!

  • Terri Quick

I’m beyond excited to be seeing my favorite musician of all time live in concert in September 😁😁😁😁

  • KATE SARSFIELD

There I was, all prepared to go to Northern Ireland, with the alarm set for 6am. Woke up, then fell back to sleep till 1pm! Ah well, I’ll go next week instead. The rain has returned to Ireland, just in time for the long weekend 🙁

  • Michele Soyer

Lovely morning here – a bit chilly but sunny..took a 5 mile walk now to clean out the frig for the grocery delivery later today… the pantry needs a good sweep too!!

  • Susan Smith

We are having warm sunny weather this week so I started planting my garden. I’m planting all vegetables this year, tomatos, peppers, cucumbers, onions and carrots. I have to put up a fence around it as the rabbits around here will eat my vegetables.

  • Tamra Phelps

Other than the side effects of strong meds, I’m feeling much better. Hopefully the side effects will be short lived.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I spent over an hour and a half on the phone to the tech dept. this morning. They gave up and finally agreed to refund me the cost. A courier will collect the laptop sometime on Friday. Popped down to the library to print off almost €300 in vouchers for my local supermarket. All earned by doing online surveys.

the day is going well. this morning’s appointment was just what I needed. this evening, it’s out to volunteer and then meet with friends. enjoy your day. thanks

  • heather

I had to do some running around today and I treated myself with a trip to In-N-Out Burger. I had a double double ‘Animal Style’ and I am full full full. Don’t think I will need to eat dinner tonight!

  • Tamra Phelps

Feeling much better today. Apparently a shot of morphine gets rid of the pain, lol. It also makes you loopy, so I’ve spent today nodding off every two seconds but the pain is gone. Surely the loopiness will wear off by tomorrow! Kate, I guess you were right, it was something, lol. I toughtt it was just a little muscle ache until I suddenly couldn’t even rest my head on a pillow because even that hurt.

  • heather

I just got in the door from doing a bunch of running around and bunch of driving. Need to take a break and relax for the rest of the day!

  • l p

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Running out of cat food so planning another trip to the North. Maybe this Thursday or later next week; it’s a public holiday on Monday 4th. so will be busy on the roads & in the shops. Got some weeding to do and I have to phone the people I bought my new laptop from. It just will not connect to the internet & I’ve tried everything.

  • Tamra Phelps

Today was not the Monday I expected. I wound up in the ER early today, and spent pretty much the entire day! I don’t know how I did it, but I have a horribly painful pinched nerve on the right side of my neck that goes up the back of my head and onto the shoulder–it was hurting like hell. My tremor (benign essential tremor, left over from when I had sepsis, usually barely noticable) was going nuts. Anyway, they tried steroids, etc., then gave me shot of morphine. That was a first for me. Whee! Then they decided I was not getting enough oxygen and sent me home on oxygen–hoping that doesn’t last long but I’ll do it. After 8 hours, I finally got home. On steroids for about a week, and the pain is under control right now, so that’s good.

  • l p

the day is going well. Monday – bread-baking day. today, I’m making extra for a family member who is visitng from out of town. will get the dough ready and freeze it so they can thaw, proof, and bake. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Michele Soyer

Dreary morning with dark clouds and rain imminent – decided to take a walk anyway – love dark stormy days before the drama starts…went to the post to get some stamps and thats about it – more about the walk than anything else…after lunch I will read and study too dark to paint….

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Up early to take the brushcutter back, picked up some groceries on the way home. Sat on the bed & woken up 4 hours later by the chimneysweep! He’s going to put up shelves, curtain poles etc. for me! It might be a few weeks, but it’ll be so good to have curtains up again!. The vibrations of the drill just hurt my hands too much. When the shelves are up I’ll be able to get lots of boxes unpacked – yay!

  • l p

the day is going well. out volunteering this morning and then doing paperwork all afternoon. I can hardly believe April is almost done. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Michele Soyer

Had another amazing evening out the pro hockey game that again went into ot…
who knows what I will get into this week??

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Lovely lazy morning with breakfast in bed, listening to vintage British comedy shows on BBC Radio 4Extra. It’s the humour I grew up and much of it is completely undated. Right, time for a big stretch & out to finish mowing the back garden. It’s taken a whole week!

    • Michele Soyer

If I ever get to Ireland ( don’t doubt me) you will put down all this farm equipment and go out on the town with me!

      • KATE SARSFIELD

Michele, if there’s one thing we know about you, it’s if you set your mind to do something, you will do it!

  • Terri Quick

I watched the new movie about Michael Jackson but it only covered up to his Bad album so I assume that there will be more movies

  • heather

Just finished watching The Count of Monte Cristo series on PBS it was superb! This was a new remake and it was sooooooooooooooo good I’m kind of sad that it’s over. Have a nice day.

  • l p

the day is going well. made cupcakes for a young friend’s birthday. out for a much-needed long walk. I’m still putting ‘stuff’ back after having the carpets cleaned the other day, as well as cleaning up a mess when a very large glass jar (empty, thank goodness) fell on the floor at 3:00 AM today. I think I have it all now but won’t be going barefoot in that area for a while. the head-lamp is a great tool in helping to find those tiny little shards that are trying to escape. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Michele Soyer

Had a wonderful time last night with the girls – laughed and enjoyed our evening..Waiting for the handyman it is almost 1pm getting antsy…Tonight is the hockey game so another enjoyable evening..
    Happy weekend all!!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

I’ve hired a brush cutter for the weekend & have already done half of the ‘meadow’ at the back of the house! It’s a damn sight easier than mowing it, though now other muscles are aching. Having a well-deserved pizza this evening!

  • Laurie Nykaza

Shopping today for the family for dinner. Now off to work in the garden planting seeds for our garden to grow some salad veggies for everyone to enjoy.

  • heather

Just did a bunch of running around had to go to Walmart that was the opposite of fun! I went in there to purchase a body pillow that they list as in store but when I got there and tracked down an employee they told me that item is only available online.

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Another day in the garden but no more mowing. Everything aches! I’ve decided to finish the back of the house with a hired brushcutter. Then, like last year, I’ll just leave it be. The frogs and hedgehogs will thank me for it!

  • l p

the day is going well. had the carpets cleaned yesterday, which went well. was cautioned to leave everything off the carpets for as long as possible so I decided to wait until this morning. however, one large jar (empty, thank goodness) decided to try and find its home on its own. it crashed to the floor in the middle of the night. cleaned most of the glass up and am now wearing a headlamp to show up the smaller pieces not easily seen. life is interesting. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Michele Soyer

I decided that my pantry is too large to waste space and the way the shelves were done well never mind….so I am having the handyman come tomorrow to see if a 220 outlet can be installed and a small freezer put in place then shelves would be built around all the way up to the ceiling…
Tonight going out and about with my galpals for cocktails – boomer ladies on the town.. these ladies just make me smile…
    Happy Friday all!!

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Is it still Thursday over there? I fell asleep at 8pm-ish & it’s now after 2am Friday. Exhausted after a long day mowing, weeding & planting.

  • l p

the day is going well. spent the morning clearing everything I could off the carpets for the cleaner to come. looking forward to a quiet evening. enjoy your day thanks

  • heather

The game last night went into what I was told was double overtime – did not get home till half 2am!! My daughter waited up like I was 15..lol… she said I did it for her and I still do it for her…why can’t she for me?? gotta love that woman… Apparently there will be another game Saturday because of what went on last night – who knows – so we are going again….
Soup kitchen later then a relaxing evening with my book…

  • Tamra Phelps

somee days I feel like I plam my life around doctors’ appointments. Even with they are just follow-ups, they are a huge pain in the butt, you know??? One can consume an entire day.

  • l p

the day is going well. it’s Earth Day so I’m trying to be more aware of what I’m doing. busy morning with appointments. looking forward to dinner with friends and then a concert. enjoy your day. thanks

Just finished chopping up all my veggies for a big salad later today. Need to make a trip to the library later this morning. Also need to haul firewood it has been chilly here lately going to be in the 30’s tonight.

  • Michele Soyer

Did all my housework, took a quick turn around the property for a short walk and now getting ready to do my art history course – I have time for my language lessons this morning too… thinking about taking a music history course also.. did theory many many years ago when
I played piano – blessed growing up with a piano in the living room.. could never afford one now! and this evening is the hockey game……everyone have a great day….

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Ouch I ache all over after all this mowing. Another night with not a bit of sleep so I got up at dawn & headed to the laundrette to get more laundry done. While I was waiting I took a drive to the local graveyard to try & find John (my lovely friend who died last Sept.). The earliest grave dates from the 1400s! Anyway, I found John. It’s a lovely spot, at the top of a hill with beautiful views. I couldn’t face going to the grave after his funeral but I’m glad I went today.

  • l p

the day is going well. working in the garden early today. then did some volunteering this morning and then shopping. I’m trying to avoid the rain that will move in late this afternoon. enjoy your day. thanks

  • KATE SARSFIELD

How’s this for a start to a day? Just as I was about to put my bra on, noticed something black (bra’s purple), then it moved. Put the glasses on – the biggest beetle I’ve seen in years! Took it outside & gave the bra a really good shake. I don’t mind creepy crawlies, but not when they’re in my underwear, thank you very much!

  • Michele Soyer

Took a 4 mile walk this morning and I am ready to relax after lunch until volunteer time..7ish is an HOA meeting and that is it for today….my friend is taking me to the last pro hockey game for now tomorrow night….Mn vs Dallas.. I am surprised by the gesture…enjoying the firendship very much….

  • KATE SARSFIELD

We’re in for a week of sunshine! Spent a couple of hours mowing the lawn, well, just part of it really. Reckon it’s going to take a few days, there’s so much of it & it’s so long with all the rain we’ve had. Got some laundry done & dry in one day!

  • Michele Soyer

Beautiful sunny day here – cold again yes but sunny! i should sweep the patios and clean the outside windows again ( the lawnman came, mowed and dust and dirt was flying) but heck it is Sunday – I shall feed the birds and rabbits then hit my chair with my book and turn on the sound bar and listen to music! Happy Sunday all..

  • heather

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday. I have to make a quick trip to the local store and then making hummingbird food. Our local hummingbirds are little piggies they wiped out the food I made for them in only a few days and we have five feeders out there.

  • l p

the day is going well. today I’m cleaning the place up to receive guests tomorrow. a young lady and friend are coming over for some crafting lessions. they know how to do it – just need a few pointers on how to be consistent and read patterns. enjoy your day. thanks

  • Michele Soyer

At half 5am it was 74 degrees! too humid and sticky to walk outside so did the treadmill instead…
Planning on painting and reading today..what a life I have! the thought of going to “work” takes away any complaints I might have! LOL
Tamra our weather forecast is for WI, Iowa and Ill the chance of tornadoes…we are north of it if the wind doesn’t shift…funny I used to be concerned about hurricanes and earthquakes in T&T – new place new weather patterns – when we had earthquakes that was the most scary even though they were not reichter scale high…

    • KATE SARSFIELD

I remember heading to Dublin Airport to collect Mum & Dad from their holidays. I was stuck at traffic lights, looking at the planes coming in & suddenly they wobbled. Then I realised it was the ground that was wobbling, not the sky! It measured only 3 on the Reichter scale and wasn’t scary but definitely unsettling. The thought of all that power being unleashed …

    • Tamra Phelps

If we have earthquakes they are usually small enough that only those sitting still notice them. We argued once for an hour over whether we even had oe, lol–I was sitting down and felt it, so did my sister-in-law, who was in bed. My Mo and brother were up moving around and felt nothing.

  • heather

Watching the sun come up at the moment and sipping my hot tea. Hope you all have a nice Friday out there. I may make a trip to town need to pick up a few things for dinner.

  • Michele Soyer

The weather here is really insane.. yesterday in the 70’s today in the 80’s then Friday storms and a possibility of snow! Yes snow.. Tamra how crazy has your weather been??

  • Michele Soyer

  • KATE SARSFIELD

Lying in bed last night, watching The Day of The Triffids (again!), cuddling Loki, felt something in his fur. A tick! YUCK! Got it off him & dropped the damn thing. AGH!! Get it off me! Hate them with a passion since I got covered in them as a child from playing in the fields. Mum & Dad got 78 of the damn things off me using perfume & nail varnish remover.

  • Tamra Phelps

Well, it seem we havew suddenly kicked up a windy storm out there tonight. Rain and wind are going nuts. Hopefully it passes soon. I hate those night s when it storms all nightt and you just hope the electric stays on, lol.

Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate! The storm has passed and apart from a couple of ‘blips’ in power wasn’t too bad here. It’s still windy & cold but there’s blue sky out there, folks!

  • Michele Soyer

Up at 5 – ham in the oven and will be done by half 8…. Plenty of time to get ready for mass at the cathedral…Happy Easter all!!

  • Shannon Mitchell

Did a little shopping today. The rain has finally stopped, lots of hard work but I’ve seemed to keep everything dry that I needed to, that was good. I want to do a Easter egg hunt for the kids but it might be too muddy, hopefully not. Happy Easter everyone.

Storm Dave is on his way. It’s dark, hailstones, windy and worse to come. Making a veggie casserole that will last a couple of days in case I lose power.

It’s 7am and I’m still awake 🙁 If I had the energy I’d get up and vacuum the house but I’m exhausted! Catching up on emails, letters & bills instead.

Aw, Connie, Bear would love that you got Walter! April has come in with rain here in KY. Hopefully it gets better, lol.
