• Y’all Know I LIVE To Torment My Grown Children, Right??

Elf on the shelf in snow. Tourment grown children

For those here that are new, I live in Sandpoint, Idaho. Our children and families live in California. YES, it IS SO HARD!! I am missing SO much. THANKFULLY, my children are amazing. They all come up at least once a year. I go there at least once a month. It’s not ideal but it’s better than nothing right?? Right (sorta, but not really. I want to walk next door and see my kids. Yes, one on each side! Come ON LOTTERY WIN!!) Zachary and family will be here for Thanksgiving week! I am giddy excited. (Yes, I am secretly hoping for MONSTER snow storm and a much longer visit. Shhhhh don’t tell. Yes, I have company (can you call your own children company?) coming and the craft fair. Ohhhh so much to do. YES KAREN, STILL! My sweet son Zachary, even growing up, has loved Thanksgiving. I swear he loves Thanksgiving more than Christmas. With that said, he has…

    Santa Sack

I do love our Elf On The Shelf! I’m Refreshing My Blog (and Bust Ghosts) Updating old blog content is a bit like digital archaeology: you head in to dust the archives and end up unearthing questionable life choices from years ago. Between the over-filtered photos and advice that’s aged like room-temperature milk, the past can be… loud. The Ghost in the Machine: Lately, I’ve been dealing with a resident spirit: The Ghost of Peanut Butter and Whine. This digital poltergeist has been causing chaos behind the scenes: The 2026 Refresh Plan: I’m giving my archives a facelift to keep my blog traffic climbing and my readers happy. Here’s my step-by-step exorcism: Stick Around Please Don’t let this be a “one and done” visit. While I’m cleaning house, check out these (very much alive) links: Earn Cash: Some things never go out of style. Rakuten still pays you to shop, and in this economy, why wouldn’t you take the free…

  • The Elf on The Shelf HELP!!!

    Elf on the shelf

I found a quick and ever so easy Elf On The Shelf fix so my Elf can do MORE things!! So simple to do!! Snip the Elf on hands apart, then snip the end of hands. Insert wire, I found mine in the craft section at Walmart, same with the button magnets. Then I totally cheated and just hot glued the ends together to seal. I really didn’t want those magnets or the wire to come out around the pets and kids. Super easy and now there are so many other poses that the Elf Norgan and I can do!! Note, be sure to try the wire before inserting, my first attempt the wire was WAY to heavy and the elf’s arms didn’t bend.
