  • A SUPER-DEE-DUPER DAY!! With Barney

I am pretty sure that most toddlers have gone through the lovable, big purple dinosaur, Barney stage. Having shows available for 3-year-old Alice to watch is important to me. I want shows that are first, age-appropriate! I don’t want to stress that she is learning some bad habits!! (Not on this NaNa’s watch anyway!) Barney videos are full of imagination and fun. Barney teaches everything from good manners to sharing, exercising, and just having FUN!!   There is even a chapter in this new DVD, A SUPER-DEE-DUPER DAY, on how to approach a shy child. I love that!! Three-year-old Alice is shy around new kids, too.  I loved that she was relating to the little girl. I am thrilled that Barney teaches kids to use their imagination. I’m thrilled that the video also highlights playing outside, playing with a ball, having a race, and MOVING AROUND!! I love that. Barney takes his friends on a dino-sized adventure!!  All of the kids on the video are having FUN!! Having a Super-Dee-Duper Day! Barney encourages everyone to use their imaginations to remember the lessons they learned during their super Sports Day in the park showing them that sometimes the most rewarding activities are…

  • Cliff Dwellers Pastime Puzzle

DH and I love putting together puzzles, actually the whole family does. Check out the puzzle we just finished. This one is rated for ages 8 and over.  This one is challenging!  You can’t just put the frame together and go from there. You have to think about this one.  SO MUCH FUN!!   There are 30 whimsical pieces. There are shapes like a duck, a star, a boot, and the letter w. SO COOL!! This is Cliff Dwellers by Daniel Smith. This is a 300-piece pastime puzzle from Winning Moves Games.  The finished puzzle will fit into an 18″ x 24″ frame.  We plan to put this into Grandson Eli’s room.  Eventually, AFTER we find the missing W that is!! Here is how I preserve my puzzles for framing!  I would show you step by step photo’s….. but, someone (not naming names, EMMA!) needed the M for a project. So, when the M is found we will be putting this together permanently. You’ll need: Paint BrushDecoupage Glue. I prefer matt finish. I don’t like the glare on my finished puzzle.Wax Paper Tape two piece of wax paper together. Longer than the puzzle. Slide your puzzle onto the wax paper.…
