Ganglion Cyst and My Driveway?
Now how is THAT for a weird combination?? Actually, a lot of you have been curious about my driveway and how far away I am from Sandpoint. Soooooooooo I shot a video just for you.
NOW, the real reason for the post. Anyone else suffer from Ganglion Cysts? I have several on the palm of my hands. These things HURT like a son-of-a-b*t@h. The hand surgeon recommended surgery. My question is has anyone else had them removed surgically? Would you do it again? Do you remember the healing time?
When my Mom was alive, she would help me get rid of them with the ole hammer and book trick. You know place a book on the cyst, hit the book with a hammer. It hurt A LOT but after a few minutes the cyst was gone. The hammer pain gone, and I was cyst free for months. The Husband however will not pick up where Mom left off. I tried doing it myself it did not work.
So? Anyone? OR can you come over and have coffee, tea or booze with me? THEN smash a book with a hammer? And if my hand just so happens to be holding the book …… so much the better.
Have a wonderful weekend Little Peanuts!!!

Well, I went to the doctor. Turns out I do have a ganglion cyst–if it doesn’t go away/shrink on its own or gets bigger, they might try draining it if there’s liquid. Worst case scenario, they have to remove it surgically. Hoping it will ‘resolve on its own.’

I have an appointment Friday to find out what is up with this knot on my wrist. Something has to be done. I mean, it shouldn’t hurt to hold a pencil.

mother had them – and her MD used to use ye olde window sill trick. her’s were on her wrist so he took her over to the window (which was open), located the cyst in the correct spot and let the window fall on it. results were exactly as you described, Connie. what kind of coffee do you serve? thanks

I will make you what ever coffee you want!! Okay, so back to trying to hit the hammer on the cyst.

I feel your pain. What I’ve read is that they grow around your nerves and that causes even more pain. ACKKK!! HEY!! Come over we will hit each other with a hammer. LOL!

I think I may have on of these cysts on the bottom of my foot. I never heard of the hammer and book trick I may try that one.

ewwwww on the foot is it a planters wart? It grows into the foot. I have had that. They tried burning it off, cutting it out is what finally fixed that one. Those hurt like a mofo when you walk.
I’m so sorry!
