Hyundai Santa Fe

DSC_4862Get ready to be jealous!! I’ve been driving a Hyundai Santa Fe for the last week. WOW this SUV has PERKS!! I feel like a kid right now, because I have so many things I want to tell you about!! Look OVER here! NO LOOK here! Wait…. Look at this!! Holy MOLY what to tell you about first?!?!

Starting with, HOW pretty is this SUV!??! Sleek looking! Great lines! THE perfect color too. I do loveeee a silver car.

Seating

Let me start with, this SUV is spacious!!! This SUV seats SEVEN COMFORTABLY!! Three rows of seating! The middle row has second row captain chairs. So comfortable!! 160.0 cubic feet of space! SO MUCH ROOM!!! This is a true ‘large family’ car!

Comfort but more importantly SAFE!! With SEVEN airbags.

The Hyundai Santa Fe drives like a dream. The Santa Fe has some ‘get up and GONE’ it’s the perfect balance of horsepower and fuel efficiency!! I was getting excellent gas mileage! 26 miles to the gallon?!!! A seven seater?? WOW!! The engine is a 3.3L V6 engine. With excellent acceleration, power, torque all together with fuel efficiency!! The Santa Fe has Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) and Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI). Personally, I read blah blah blah blah, because truthfully I don’t know what D-CVVT means. I DO KNOW, that acceleration for passing, getting on the freeway and so on is EXCELLENT.  The ride is smooth. The comfort is amazing and the gas mileage is AWESOME!!

Steering

LOVE the steering! Seriously! I can use one of 3 modes. Comfort, Normal or Sport. Depending on how you want to ‘feel’ the road. I love the comfort driving home. It’s relaxing. Of course the sport mode is a close second. This is perfect for dual drivers. You really can get everything you want in one automobile.

6-speed automatic

The Santa Fe engine is a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®. Plus all models have the Active ECO System. With the push of a button, it improves the performance of the transmission to help you get more miles out of every gallon of gas. I used the Active ECO System the entire time. I KNOW that’s one reason I got such great gas mileage.

Enough about the engine. Let’s talk about the inside!! OH MAMA I didn’t want to give the Santa Fe back!! From the navigation to the power lift gate. I know the lift gate is sorta an outside thing, but it’s such a cool feature! A ONE touch feature to open OR shut. You can even open it from the key fob. Not only that but, there is an adjustable function!! I don’t have to pull out of the garage to open the back! The liftgate stops where I want!! WOOOW!! While we are talking about the hatch, there is 80 cubic feet of cargo space available to you in the Santa Fe. Just don’t tell anyone, cause if you do, they will want you to help them move next time!! Get this, there is even a power outlet in the back. OHMYGOODNESS what a dream the Santa Fe would be to take camping! Or tailgating!

One feature I LOVE over the Honda CRV that I drive, is the fact the backseats also get heat and air-conditioning. The Honda, the passengers just have to wait for the air to hit them.

Check back tomorrow. I have more to tell you about the Hyundai Santa Fe! Just tooo many bells and whistles for just one post! Read the rest here

Disclosure I received a complimentary week driving the Hyundai Santa Fe for the purpose of my review. (No, they didn’t let me keep it…. they NEVER let me keep these cars?? WHY??? I would put it to good use!) No other compensation was provided. The opinions are mine and 100% honest. I have not been influenced in any way.

I certainly am jealous! Another new car? And a Hyundai Santa Fe none the less. It is truly an awesome looking car and you are right so roomy. Love how the seats fold down. I also love how the rear seats have heat and air conditioning as well. That had been a draw back for most of the vehicles. Our winters are harsh and the little ones just don’t get the heat nor air. Thanks for sharing.

I can’t believe all the new features that cars have now. My current car is a Hyundai Elantra 2002 so it’s behind the curve (but still a great car). I was thrilled when I got it because it has cruise control and intermittent wipers.
