What’s Down The Scary Hole?
Wouldn’t you love to know what’s down the scary hole in YOUR yard?? I know I do.
Before I start this post, let me start off with a warning. If you are a mechanic or a die-hard car person, LOOK AWAY!! Look away NOW!!
Those of you who have been around PBnWhine for a while know I have a screw or two loose. This might be another instance that seals the deal.
When I saw this Teslong TD300P 5.5mm Two-Way Articulating Borescope with a light! I KNEW I needed to beg and plead to be able to review it. I was honest and up front. I am not a mechanic. I am a put gas in the car go bye-bye girl. I do not even open the hood of the car. (I live on a dirt road, my car is lucky if I vacuum the inside once a year!) But, I NEED a borescope.
Why Do YOU Need A Borescope?
That my friends is exactly what The Husband and my son Zac asked me. “Why do you need a borescope?” This is what I told my son, The Husband, and the folks at Teslong. I have squirrels. (Not to be confused with bats in my belfry) I hate squirrels. They eat all of my flowers. They destroy my bird feeders and eat all the bird seed. They have dug hundreds of holes all over my slice of the mountain. They climb up to the 3rd floor deck and start their chattering and squawking before the sun is even out. (That’s just RUDE!)
I’ve Tried Everything To Get Rid Of Them.
Are you ready for this? It is illegal to kill squirrels in Idaho?! WHAT?! Isn’t a squirrel just basically a furry rodent?!?! So, I have flooded the holes, cayenne pepper, rocks, sticks, more rocks. I’ve tried to cover the holes with plywood. They don’t go away. They just keep digging more holes.

No, I haven’t lost my mind completely. I know my new borescope won’t get rid of the squirrels. HOWEVER! I will get to invade THEIR HOME! I wanna know what is in these hundreds of holes!! (Apparently, Teslong wants to know as well! Because they sent me one!!!)
What Am I Expecting To See Down The Hole??

Off I go for a hike borescope in hand. Smile on my face.
This Thing Is AMAZING!
I guess I should show you the borescope first, right?? Right. I was not expecting such an amazing tool. With its own carrying case!! A 32gb stick included and already installed! Talk about ready to go! The borescope was already charged.
Check this OUT!!! The Teslong borescope takes PICTURES!! AND VIDEOS!! What!?!? That is so cool.

The camera part has a cover to protect it when not in use.
Time To Hike
At one point on my hike as I was looking in the holes, I thought to myself ‘what’s the plan if a squirrel shoots outta this hole at me?’ I do NOT have a plan. I should absolutely get one, though.
I do know I will never run out of places to look though.
First Day Hunt
After coming home and watching the videos I have learned I have got to MOVE slower. Let the camera adjust before I keep going down the hole. Next, the image has to be at least 3cm away to be a clear picture so back up a little bit.
If the image is blurry clean the lens. I put a small soft brush in my apron for day two of squirrel house hunting.
The lens can bend upto 210 degrees.
So, this video is from day one. It’s my learning video. But I know you want a laugh too…. so here are a couple of videos from a total novice.
Do you think that was a frog?? Squirrels eat frogs. I have a lot of frogs in the summer. hummmm I do not know. I know that I had a couple of nice and clear shots in both videos.
Another video from day one.
A New Day Another Hole
I know you are sitting there thinking something is going to jump out at us…. but no.
Okay on the screen right above is that a face!? I think that might be an animal? A dead one… I think?
Here are just a few of the places I looked.

Since none of the dozens and dozens of holes I looked in scored no squirrels, I can safely say my new Teslong TD300P 5.5mm Two-Way Articulating Borescope scared all the squirrels away. (MAN I do crack myself up!)
This is one amazing tool and not just for mechanics!
Where else should I go look?

I had never heard of a Teslong TD300P 5.5mm Two-Way Articulating Borescope before. We have a lot of squirrels here too but we have two bad a** outdoor cats that kill them almost daily. The cats like to bring them to the front door and eat them and I end up cleaning up their mess. I love the cartoons that you put in this post too funny. I would also like to use one of these borescopes here.

I would be afraid that the animal I might find would chase the camera back out to me, lol.
