• The Bluffer’s Guide To Dogs Review

Bluffers guide to dogs book cover

Sassy! Y’all know how much I love sarcasm and sass. So of course this book was right up my alley!! Very tongue-in-check funny. The Bluffer’s series is known for their wit and dry humor and this book fits right in. This book is full of fascinating facts about our fur babies and how they feel about us.  This book is great for dog lovers and non dog owners. Instantly acquire all the knowledge you need to pass as an expert in the world of canine canniness. Never again confuse your BARF with your bite, your BAER with your bark, or your British bulldog with your Bavarian boarhound. Bask in the admiration of your fellow dog lovers as you pronounce confidently on the evolution of the family known as Canidae and hold your own against the most dogmatic of self-professed dog professionals. One of my favorite lines is in the cover flap of the book: “If you were a visiting Martian and saw two creatures walking together, one scooping up the other’s poop, who would you think was in charge?” That makes me laugh every time I read it.  Not too far behind is the quote “When it jumps onto a…

  • K-Sports Outdoor Backpacking Sleeping Bag

    sleeping bag

Here is a great Holiday Gift for any outdoors man! A toasty warm flannel-lined, nylon exterior tube-shaped sleeping bag. When we camp in Yosemite it get’s COLD at night. REALLY cold. This sleeping bag is like cuddling in flannel sheets. Nice and SOFT!! I love that the top of the K-Sports sleeping bags can be closed around your head. Seriously, my ears get COLD! This will help. This sleeping bag is ultralight and rectangular in shape. This sleeping bag is  33.5″ wide by 86.5″ deep.  Perfect for even tall adults.  The sleeping bag is good for keeping you warm, it’s not super padded so you should still pack your air mattress or sleeping pad. The outer part of this sleeping bag is nylon so not only will you stay warm, you’ll stay dry! There are three zippers, one across the bottom of the bag, and then a zipper from the top and a zipper from the bottom. The extra zippers allow you to unzip the bag from the bottom up to allow increased airflow. Which is really great for me because I tend to sleep rather warm. Added bonus you can zip two bags together for an extra-large bag. There is…

  • Samba Hair Remover Review

    Samba hair remover

I have always been curious about the hair removers that negates the need to shave my legs or use a smelly depilatory. So, I was giddy to be offered the Samba Hair Remover to try. Starting with the fact that you can use the Samba on your face, legs, bikini line and more.  There are specialized attachments like the Maxi Guide which is perfect for arms and legs, and the Micro Guide is perfect for sensitive areas. The Samba has a clear advantage over “one size fits all” treatment methods. The Samba Hair Remover allows you to get professional results at home! With no chemicals and no pain!! To use the Samba simply glide across the skin. The thermotransmitters radiate heat down into the hair follicle, crystallizing the hair. The first pass there is a very strong burning hair smell. Smelled really, really bad!!  After that first treatment the smell is almost non-existent. That pleased me greatly! All you have to do is slowly move the Samba across the area you want to be rid of hair. After the hair follicle crystallizes you have to use the enclosed buffer pad to get the hair off. I decided to give the Samba…
