Here it is October already!! GESH!! We will be celebrating 2017 pretty soon! AMAZING how fast time is going. Kinergarten for five-year-old Alice is going great. A couple of days were rocky but all in all it’s been awesome! My big MYSTERY (I know it’s YOU Daniel!!) is getting mysterious postcards in the mail with one or two lines written out for a song that I hate! HATE the song!! The postcard picture and lyrics are just enough to get that song playing in my head again. It’s brilliant. It’s funny. They are postmarked from different states. It’s a brilliant gag. NOW STOP IT!! And NO; I’m not telling any of you the song because I imagine I’d be getting all sorts of items to remind me of that dreadful song! That’s my funny for the month. I hope you have an amazing October! It’s almost HALLOWEEN!! I do love Halloween!! So, here it is…… My monthly $50 giveaway is my way of saying THANK YOU for being a follower! The October Giveaway has the same exact spiel as last month and the month before and the month before that! The year before and well, you get the idea. For as…

  • Vantrue X1 Full HD 1080P Dash Cam Review

I have complained several times about Southern California’s freeways. Although the word freeway sounds very fast they should actually be called parking lots. 8 lanes of parking lots. I know what you are thinking, then why don’t you move? Several reasons. First my Grandbabies are all right here within miles of my house. Second, I’m lazy. Third and truly the most honest response would be I have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF to even think about moving!! It makes my head hurt just thinking about it. Now, if everyone drove as safely and cautiously as I do (MAN! I am one funny, funny girl!!) I wouldn’t need a dash cam. No one would! However, since the freeways here are dead stop to 60+ MPH a dash cam is an important tool for my car. Even if you don’t have the freeways that California has a dash cam is a must have! Especially if you have kids in the car! Because with kids you have distractions! From the “Non! Look at me!” to the “Non, I dropped my juice box” (why are they never sealed with they drop on the floor or the seat?! WHY!?) Then there is always the guy in…

  • Sunwell Saline Water Christmas Lights Review

This is the COOLEST set of lights I’ve ever owned!! I am dumbfounded at how they can work without any batteries and without any plugs!!! We couldn’t WAIT for these lights to arrive. From start to finish this is the COOLEST set of lights!! First, they arrive wrapped like a Christmas gift, white box and bright red ribbon. What a very nice touch!! The Sunwell Saline Water LED Lights work without any batteries, a solar panel, no electrical plug. Simple salt water. SO cool!!!! This light is also waterproof so it can be set outside in the rain or the snow! And all it will cost you is salt!! So, first open up the lid which locks on 2 sides. The latch is very secure and the housing is water tight. Fill with water add a pouch of salt. There are several empty pouches included so you can measure out your salt to dump in. Once you have put your salt inside the housing snap the lid shut and mix the water and salt. We turned the housing over maybe a dozen times. It really doesn’t take much mixing. The salt dissolves very quickly. Then the magic happens. The lights…

  • Princess Rapunzel! (Well, The Dress Anyway!) Review

I swear, five-year-old Alice is in Princess heaven again! Check out this amazing dress from Mini Kitty. The dress is labeled as Girls Sophia Princess Long Sleeve Dress but the dress itself has a small plastic brooch with Rapunzel’s picture. So, just a little confusing there. The very first Halloween costume I can remember that I personally picked out was Casper the Ghost. With the plastic mask and the small piece of elastic that held it in place. The ‘ghost’ part slipped over my head and I had a printout of a ghost. I remember ripping it before I was even done ‘trick or treating’ for the night. To say it was cheap was an understatement. This dress from Mini Kitty will last Alice until she doesn’t want to play dress up anymore. We will be able to hand this down to the next ‘Princess’ in the family. The dress has some very special detailing that is jaw-dropping when you learn the dress sells for only $17.99!! Starting with the Princess sleeves (Alice’s favorite part!). The capped sleeves are embellished with white lace. Yes, real lace! Then a nylon mesh that goes well past Alice’s little arms and into a…
