• Storm Dragon By Frances Pauli GIVEAWAY!!

I promise you will get no spoilers in my review of Storm Dragon. Nothing worse than spoiling a great story by telling you the ending!! That’s just what this is. A great story. Kundalis Storm Dragon! Written by Frances Pauli. I was sold from the very first paragraph. Karin knows she’s gone completely insane—nuts—absolutely batshit crazy, when she spots an insidious blue dragon twining through the trees at a rest stop in the Cascade Mountains. Despite agreeing to join her roommate at a psychic fair, she’s never believed in anything metaphysical. She’s pretty sure the Reiki treatment she succumbed to has brought on a frighteningly realistic hallucination—until they roll their mini-van in the middle of I-90, and she is rescued from the vehicle by the same monstrous blue figment of her imagination. She awakens to find that she’s been delivered to a cabin high in the mountains instead of to a proper hospital. The “doctor” looking out for her is…

  • Stories of the Golden Age ‘Dead Men Kill’

    Gold Age Stories

I seriously, canNOT get enough of the L. Ron Hubbard stories of the golden age books on CD. I love them!! They are truly entertainment for the imagination. The books on CD are read with multiple actors, complete with all the sound effects and music to boot. Dead Men Kill. IS BY FAR my favorite yet. It has ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES people!! I love Zombies!! Okay, I had no idea that L. Ron Hubbard could make zombies this scary!! These are stories from the 30’s and 40’s! WHO KNEW?!?!?! I listen to my books on cd in the car, I couldn’t wait to go ANYWHERE to finish this book. I was convinced L. Ron Hubbard truly brought zombies back to life, when several of the city’s most respected citizens are inexplicably killed by ZOMBIES!!! Don’t worry you’ll get no spoilers from me!! Detective Terry Lane has very little to go on to solve this mystery. A blue grey glove, a Haitian…

  • Alice reads Pajama Time!!

This is so dang cute that I have to share!! My Granddaughter Alice is 23 months. I watch her during the week and we read a LOT. Now she reads to me!! This cracks me up!! Alice is reading Pajama Time! She’s SO DANG SMART!!! The book is Pajama Time by Sandra Boynton. (I HIGHLY recommend all her books!!)Just in case it’s been a while since you’ve heard toddler talk the story goes…..Some are Green Some are Pink Some are Ugly Ugly ….. Some are strips Some are polka dots Pajama Time…. While I was looking for that video after it disappeared……… I found this one too. May as well add one more! • The Iron Duke by L Ron Hubbard

I’m sad, this is my last L Ron Hubbard book on cd to review. I have really enjoyed listening to these tremendous books. As much as I enjoyed Hubbards Battlefield Earth. These books are fully recreated stories with all the sound effects and the multicast reading. These cd’s are truly like listening to a Broadway play. The Iron Duke may be my favorite yet. This story has everything!! Blacky Lee is man’s man (ahhh ladies man too!). There is a whiny little sidekick named Stubs. The story is a love story. A story with lots of adventure and intrigue. Suspense and humor. I picture Blacky Lee with the good looks of Gerard Butler. He’s a con man. He’s a ladies man. He only has his own best interests at heart. Or does he?? American arms merchant Blacky Lee is wanted by nearly every government in 1930s Europe—especially the Nazis. They want Blacky’s head for selling them dud weapons, prompting his…

  • Spy Killer by L.Ron Hubbard

    L. Ron Hubbard has to be the most prolific writer of the pulp fiction era! He can spin a tale that is enjoyed even now. So descriptive and so entertaining. Having these stories read on cd is even more entertaining! These cd’s are full amazing sound effects. Water, paper wrestling, foot steps and engaging music and multiple cast readings make this book 100% entertainment. Today’s review is about Spy Killer from the Tales from The Orient collection. L. Ron Hubbard may have made his name by founding The Church of Scientology. But, before the Church was founded Hubbard wrote Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is a term used to describe the low quality paper used to write books and magazines. (ahhhh you thought it was just a Quentin Tarantino movie didn’tcha??) Spy Killer might be my favorite so far in the series of L. Ron Hubbard books. Intrigue!! Suspense! Falsely accused of murder and grand larceny, Kurt Reid flees to Shanghai. After rescuing a White Russian…

  • L. Ron Hubbard’s "If I Were You"

As soon as the music started I was hooked. The music is very Indiana Jones exotic. I felt like I was being transported to 1930. L.Ron Hubbard’s “If I Were You” is an animated exciting story!! I always have a book on CD in the car I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore. I love being read too. I have never EVER been read to like this!! “If I Were You” has sound effects, rain, doors opening, chairs scraping the floor, background voices! There are multiple readers. This CD is amazing!! Talk about being completely absorbed!! Listening to this CD I now completely understand how families could gather in front of the radio and be totally and completely entertained. This is tv for your imagination. I was so immersed in the story I didn’t even want to multi-task! I just wanted to listen. (If you only knew what a major deal that was, you’d be in awe!) If I…
