New Year!! Fresh Look Thanks To Indian Bijou!

When you’re retired wanting to update the livingroom means adding splashes of color with easy things like a new throw, rearranging furniture or my favorite and one of the quickest ways to update the room is with new pillows.

Indian Bijou came through with flying colors! This 16″ by 16″ handcrafted pillow cover was made in India. The detailing of this pillow cover reminds me of quilts that my Grandmother had. The colors and the detailing are beautiful.

This beautiful handcrafted cushion will lend a warm, funky look to your home.

The motif is inspired by the classical Madhubani style of painting and is handmade by women artisans. 

The front of the pillow cover is made by combining several different types of material, in different thickness and styles all sewn together.  Each piece of material stands out with several shades of colors.  From bright reds to deep reds, light lime green to deep hunter green, peach, orange and tan mixed with even more deeper shades like turquoise and browns.  The colors blend so beautifully.  This pillow is the perfect color and size for our brown leather sofa. The overall darker colors are perfect for the winter months.

The back of the pillow cover is a coordinating reddish-brown soft cotton that closes with two large black wooden buttons. The back opens large enough to easily insert your own pillow form. The buttoned flap closes the back by over lapping by about a full 1″. My old ugly pillow doesn’t show at all.

I am truly loving this site!! From the beautiful detailing on the contemporary designs. This pillow is quality made. A pillow cover that I am proud to display in my home.

WHINES

I can’t think of a single whine. The colors are perfect. The stitching is wonderful. The seams are all well sewn. The buttons are attached very well. The pillow is beautiful and I am thoroughly pleased.
