Hello Peanuts!! Who else is ready for spring!? I’m absolutely ready to say goodbye to the snow. Mostly I am ready to say goodbye to the season of the mud. Seriously, the road is so bad my 4 wheel drive car can’t drive through it. Now, I love my mountain life, don’t get me wrong. I may not want to go anywhere but knowing I CAN’T, that makes me nuts. Trail Cam Friday 8/14/2020
First a shout out to Miss Barbra!! Happy BIRTHDAY!!! Now, on to the photo’s. I thought I would start with the new Trail Cam from Coolife. I’m impressed with the pictures! The spot is pretty good too. Apparently it’s a deer only path because that is ALL this camera picked up. But it picked up a couple great shots of the fawn! The second trail cam is set up on the side of the house pointing down toward the lake. This camera I hadn’t checked in quite a long time. Trail Cam Friday 7/17 SHE’s BAAAAACKKKK!!!!
My friend the bear is back!! (Yes, I know…. the bears are not my friends….. I know I would be a tasty treat. I know that is how I will die…….. but it looked so sweet and fluffy will be my last words.) I have absolutely no idea what the bright spot is, maybe it’s a SIGN that says “Pet me here!” in really tiny letters. MAYBE it’s a PET collar!!! Trail Cam Friday! July 3, 2020
FINALLY! Gesh, seems like forever since I’ve had anything even a little interesting to share. I am hoping that I can capture some fireworks from the top deck tomorrow and maybe something on the trail cam? I dunno. Fingers crossed. So this week the deer are back. Including a young buck with tiny little antlers. One very conceded turkey that seems to be saying “I’m ready for my close-up” and my little bear cub. No sign of the ma’ma in these shots. Trail Cam Friday April 24
Better late than not at all right?? RIGHT!! This time I took some snap shots of my walk to the trail cams so I could show you where I have them stashed. I did that mostly in case I had no interesting pictures. Hedgin’ my bets. It’s a pretty walk. I also snapped a picture so you can see just how well the trail cam blends into the tree. Trail Cam Friday April 17
Seriously, these animals are NOT cooperating with the whole Trail Cam Friday premise! WHAT THE HECK!?!? Do they not understand that I need some real pictures??? I may cut back on their corn if they aren’t more cooperative. The night shot is only because of the littttttle tiny white something in the bottom right. There also was an operator error in one camera. ONE camera you move the switch to the right to turn it on. The other, you guessed it … to the left. So one camera wasn’t on at ALL. I can not win! Trail Cam Friday April 9
Well, trail cam Friday is NOT cooperating this week. The most interesting shot was this one! Of course, turkey’s always want their pictures taken. So at least there is that………… All is not lost when I have my camera with me on my hikes. Soooooo here are a few shots I snapped this week as I hiked. Remember the wind storm that we had in March? Well, this weeks pictures are kinda Ahhhhhhhhh. Bucks are back. TONS of deer. Nothing spectacular though. So, tomorrow I will be moving the trail cam again. HOPEFULLY we will catch our moose. I can hear them just haven’t gotten them on camera this year. So hopefully next Friday’s pictures will be aweeeeeeeeeeesome!!

Trail Cam Friday is late going up because truthfully I thought today was THURSDAY!!!! It’s 11:15 in the morning and I caught a glimpse of something on TV and it said Friday blah blah blah and I looked at The Husband and the conversation went like this: “Is this DVR’d?” “No” “What day is this?” “Friday why?” Okay, what happened to THURSDAY!? So, remember when I said I was moving the trail cam? I put it between the house and the barn. Look at my creative trail cam holder. And the look of “What is she doing NOW” On The Husband’s face! And half of ME! Turns out to be A PERFECT spot!!! My friends are protected from the weather. I even caught some dancin’ out there! The first few pictures were soooooo crisp and clear! I was giddy. THEN….. the FINGERPRINTS showed up. Let’s NOT name names (THE HUSBAND!) moved the camera and left behind 3 very nice fingerprints (IN THE CENTER OF THE LENS!) that made all the rest…
