• Teenage Kicks In The Kitchen?

    teens and cooking

Whether you work late, have a challenge maneuvering after-school clubs, or simply fancy one night a week where you don’t have to slave in the kitchen; letting your teen take over the helm can be a fantastic way to make this happen. Not only will this one-night routine teach them the fundamentals of cooking, but it will also instill responsibility and the importance of helping out. The trouble is that, as any teen mamma will already know, getting a teenager into the kitchen can seem about as likely as getting them up before sundown on the weekends. AKA, not likely at all! But, that doesn’t mean your dreams of one night off a week need to be dashed.  In reality, this is a point worth pushing, and letting your teen know they’ll be cooking one night a week rather than asking them is the first step towards success. Next, follow these simple pointers to make the task at least a little more appealing.  Teach them all the basics There are few things teens dislike more than not being able to do…

  • Tips to Consider When Buying a Gift Watch

    bulova watch

There is an array of presents you might consider getting for your wife, fiancé, girlfriend, mother, or daughter. The gift watch, however, stands out as a present. It is mainly considering how suitable watches can be when simply showing appreciation or celebrating an occasion. Whether it is Valentine’s day, your anniversary, wedding day or birthday, giving her a watch can be an excellent option as it is something they can stay with for a long time. It is, therefore, important that you have a guide on how to pick an appropriately delightful timekeeper for her. Love lettering book cover

If there was ever a book that screamed out to me Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn is it. I truly enjoyed this book. First, it’s a love story. Yeah! I am a huge romance reader. Oh how I love me some mushy stuff. Second. Letters. Letters as in fancy script, funky script. Frilly script, skinny script. Wait. What?? Yes, the book is a love story. Girl ruins guys engagement… wait, what? (BTW it’s NOT a spoiler. This happens in the first few pages of the book. I would never spoil a good read for you! HONEST!!) Love Lettering is also a love story over fonts. I have always been attracted to signs. Here in Sandpoint Idaho there are tons of unique signs. I think Meg (the main character in the book) would be in Heaven here! Yes, I sat in the car finishing this love story while The Husband had his doctor appointment. I decided to snap a picture of the cover for this blog post when I looked around just from where I was parked and noticed all these lovely styles of writing just on this one corner. I’ve seen these stores tons of times. Today however, I really…
