My Summer Vacation
Just writing “My Summer Vacation” made me want to add by Connie Sue. LOL I felt like a second grader again. Well, not in my body but in my head. My Summer Vacation: Things that I have learned during this trip to San Diego, Carlsbad and Murrieta California, visiting my kids. Number One: Driving I do not like traffic. To this I must add EVERY AGRESSIVE driver fiber in my body kicked RIGHT BACK IN! I really had thought that being in the laid-back Sandpoint Idaho for the last 8 years had fixed that. It did not. Number TWO: I HATE Traffic BUT NO Traffic Scares Me I hate traffic BUT when it’s a freeway with ZIP ZERO NADDA cars on it, on a Thursday at 3 pm I GET SCARED!! Never did find out what was happening. But, Alice did a video that I posted on Instagram (Mainly showing off her new fingernails…. and her video skills aren’t the best. She’s only 13. So she did great. RIGHT!!?!? Yes, yes she did) Number Three: i5 and 805 are PARKING LOTS I hate traffic! You sit on i5. Might as well put that car in neutral and listen to your…

Attention Audio Book Fans!
I’m a big audio book fan. I listen on the treadmill (HELLO!! ME! Treadmill! 4 times now. It’s a start! I’m slow as molasses in the winter but I’m doin’ it!) Anyway, I listen on the treadmill, in the car, and with earphones at night to go to sleep, sitting here typing this post! I love ’em! I found Chirp. I don’t even know HOW I found Chirp. Every day they email me with a new set of deals. Some as low as .99¢ If the title or cover of the book appeals to me, I click Learn More Then I hit play sample. Now, if you are like me, you KNOW if the reader’s voice is one that will annoy the #$(*#$ out of you or not. The app is free on your phone. There are tons of books. Tons of different genres. TONS of deals and way cheaper than Audible. This isn’t a sponsored post, however, I get a coupon with every purchase, and I thought well, why not post it on here so you the Peanuts can enjoy a good book too. Then come back and tell me if you loved it or hated it?! OHMYGOSH a…

Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn #ReadLoveLettering #ad #SheSpeaks
If there was ever a book that screamed out to me Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn is it. I truly enjoyed this book. First, it’s a love story. Yeah! I am a huge romance reader. Oh how I love me some mushy stuff. Second. Letters. Letters as in fancy script, funky script. Frilly script, skinny script. Wait. What?? Yes, the book is a love story. Girl ruins guys engagement… wait, what? (BTW it’s NOT a spoiler. This happens in the first few pages of the book. I would never spoil a good read for you! HONEST!!) Love Lettering is also a love story over fonts. I have always been attracted to signs. Here in Sandpoint Idaho there are tons of unique signs. I think Meg (the main character in the book) would be in Heaven here! Yes, I sat in the car finishing this love story while The Husband had his doctor appointment. I decided to snap a picture of the cover for this blog post when I looked around just from where I was parked and noticed all these lovely styles of writing just on this one corner. I’ve seen these stores tons of times. Today however, I really…

Day 15 Photo-A-Day BOOKS!
Photo-A-Day prompt is Books, books, books!! Day 15 and I still haven’t run out of pictures from my amazing craft-room. This is my very own personal Photo-A-Day challenge. For the month of March I am posting pictures from inside my HUGE craft-room. This is helping me get motivated to blog more often and share what an amazing space I have. Yes, these pictures show you what a hoarder, collector and wack-a-doddle I am. Now in my defense my Dad and my Grandfather were major hoarders so it’s in my DNA. Today’s prompt is BOOKS. Between my love of antiques. My love of keeping family mementos and my love of reading; well that just means I have yet another collection that my craft-room hosts. In one of my cabinets I have a mix of autographed books, books to read and books I just can’t seem to part with. Craft books, how-to books. As with everything in my craft-room there is no rhyme or reason to my collection. Next to my desk is my file cabinet on there are books from my Great Grandparents weddings and passings. Along with treasured photo books. Year books and one of my most treasured “Grandmother Remembers”…
