    Craft-Room goodies Knitting

I wanted to share what I am working on in the craft-room. First, I couldn’t take it anymore. Last weeks weird felting thing (truly don’t even know what to call it or where I was going with it!) but, it had to go. Now it’s a fat Santa. He still needs some work but at least he is no longer a weird whatever that was last week!! I finished Alice’s blanket. It’s soft, cuddly and ohhh sooo warm! I really hated for it to end, but I immediately started another one. I am sooooo addicted to knitting these blankets! Especially since it’s so cold here in Sandpoint. I started working on another cowl in such beautiful colors! I’m really liking these soft yarns. I am testing out some new Cricut cutting blades for my vinyl. Blades can get expensive. So yes, I jumped on 45 of them for under $14! I tested them with glitter vinyl which is the hardest…

  • What’s In The Craft Room NOW??

    felted gnome

I really do have a great excuse for being slow with blog posts. It’s THIS craft room! My craft room calls to me! I head down here around 9am and stay till 3!! Maybe if I moved my desk closer to the stairs and not on the other side of the craft table I wouldn’t get distracted with the shiny, shiny, sooooo shiny projects!! Here is what I’m working on now. Last week I actually had company to craft with me!! My friend Marilee and her daughter and grandgirls were here designing t-shirts!! The vinyls were sooooooo cool!!! Everyone’s was so different and so pretty! My vinyls of course were for Alice. (Duh!) Then the knitting. SO ADDICTED!! Get this, now granted I do use a very chunky yarn for my blankets and only one stitch. But I’m still taking credit for being creative!) I’ve completed 2 blankets. His and hers for The Husband and I. 4 cowls. 3 for…

  • EVEN Better Crafty Little Me!!

This week has already been AWESOME!!! I woke up today with a message that I won the MEGA Craft Bundle VI from DesignBundles.net HELLO, crafty little me! So, ya know what that means? It means it’s time to get craftin’! I see so many things that I want to make RIGHT NOW!!!!! I really love designing tumblers so I decided this would be my first project from The Mega Craft Bundle. First, I can’t say enough good things about these particular tumblers. I just keep coming back to this particular brand because they have a slide over the opening which I like a lot! Especially during bug season! UGH! Bugs in my coffee? No thank you. I snagged the blue 12-ounce tumblers this time. I’m thoroughly impressed at how long cold drinks stay cold. Hot drinks stay hot. With Schiipper tumblers my ice cubes melt so slowly. I love having a cup full of ice at the end of my…

  • May 3rd Photo-A-Day C

    Cotton puffs

Today’s Photo-A-Day is C for Connie. Except I hate taking my picture! My nose always looks like it’s 10 times to big for my face. C for candy. Except that I really have too much candy around and well, it would make you guys so hungry! C for coffee. That would have been wayyyyy to easy because where I am there is coffee. Instead I picked cotton. Not like cotton clothing, although there is nothing better than a vintage, soft cotton t-shirt. Not cotton balls which I seem to go through a ton of every month. But I chose cotton tufts also known as cotton boll! The kind you decorate with. There is something very rustic and country chic about cotton bolls. This particular set comes with 12 cotton bolls and a rustic wire on the back side that is about 2″ long. My plan is to wrap around sticks and branches that Bear and I find on our walks.…

  • Day 18 Photo-A-Day Something I made

    Pour Paint Egg Experiment

Day 18 of my very own personal Photo-A-Day challenge. For the month of March I am posting pictures from inside my HUGE craft-room. This is helping me get motivated to blog more often and share what an amazing space I have been blessed with. I’m enjoying sharing my treasures with you and I’m seriously thinking of continuing into April. I will share pictures of the inside of the rest of the house. Whaddya think? Then May the outside of the house? June could be the town of Sandpoint? This might just work! Yes, these pictures show you what a hoarder, collector and wack-a-doddle I am. Now in my defense my Dad and my Grandfather were major hoarders so it’s in my DNA. Today’s prompt is I Made This. I am constantly working on different projects. T-shirts for Alice using my Cricut Maker. Kitchen towels and aprons. Recently I started making metal stamped items, spoons, key chains and such. I have…

  • Timber Artbox Hot-Air Balloons and Planes Decals! Review

Timber Artbox Hot-Air Balloons and Planes Decals

Earlier this month I did a review for Under The Sea Wall Decals from Timber Artbox; the cutest little vinyl wall decals. I am thrilled to share my review of their Airplanes and Hot Air Balloons Wall Decals. These decals were as easy to install as the first set. Under 20 minutes and my wall was completely decorated. One of the perks of having Grandkids is the fact that I no longer have toys strewn around. I don’t have stacks of Legos and Barbies stacked up everywhere. Of course then I have a whole different set of predicaments. In a small house where DO I keep the kids toys? I still have to HAVE all those Barbies and Legos and more; but where to store them? I created a place at the end of the hallway. Completely out of the way. I found an adorable treasure chest toy box with a little vanity mirror. The kids can string toys all over…
